it looks like jcooments 3.05 has the plugin for sermon speaker in it, does it work with sermon speaker 5.x? Can it work with a series detail page? or should one replace their plugin for the one on your site? we would like to have commnetting on the seiries and not individual sermon pages since all sermons are under one series

For your info, I've being using Sermon Speaker since J1.5 version for our Church website at www.tmc.org.my Unfortunately, Sermon Speaker was not available when we migrated to Joomla 3.0 We are currently using another Extension player that play .M4V file format to support mobile devices. So, my question is; can the present Sermon Speaker version support .M4V audio file format for mobile devices?
If so, I am attracted to switch back to Sermon Speaker due to better features & database archive, etc.

Sermon will not upload via User Interface - by: Julie Tillman
When we login through the back end and create a new sermon (joomla/components/sermonspeaker/sermon > NEW), it allows us to select a file to upload, the progress bar progresses to 100% and appears to have uploaded, but then the sermon is not in the list. I can't figure out if this is a component issue or what. My host can't think of anything causing it on their side. The file size is smaller than the limit set in the Joomla config file.
Any ideas?

I want the parent "All Sermons" to register a total of 3 items. Is that possible?

I have my menu for SermonSpeaker set to "Categories List." On that first landing page, is there a way to have the video player but not the audio player, but on the details page to have both?

I am thinking to store our sermons not just for publish, but for long term like a library. I don't know if Sermon Speaker fits the purpose. The library may grow to thousands or tens of thousands of audios.
Does Sermon Speaker scale to that size? What is the best practice for storing and managing sermons for large sites?
What especially worry me is that the "Write ID3 tag" tool which refresh all files, the "Create Sermons Automatically" tool which scans all folders in the path, which are not meant for large sites.
What would you advise? Thanks in advance.

I have enabled the Download button under Options -> Columns for the Single Sermon pages.
However, on our Single Sermon pages, the download button does not work:

Player Plugins - by: Fred Pitts
Hi, I upgraded recently from Joomla 2.5 to the latest Joomla 3. I had the latest SermonSpeaker for 2.5. When I got to Joomla 3, I clicked on all the updates and it seems to work fine. However, I have this message: "Using an integrated player is deprecated. Please enable at least one of the SermonSpeaker player plugins and then go to the SermonSpeaker options and set the 'Player' parameter in the 'Player' tab to '- Use Plugin -' instead." I have enabled all plugins with a SermonSpeaker title and when I select, "Use Plugin" I am not showing any player at all. Looking at the site, I have downloaded JW7 as a plugin from your website but it doesn't appear in the list of selected players. I don't think my upgrade included the plugins you describe; if so, I may not be finding them. Can you point me to where I can download them and install them and step by step how to get one of them working? Thanks so much!

audio file size error - by: Joe Summers
When I try to upload an audio file, I get the message that my php file is limited to 12 however the config files have been set to 100 for upload and 50 for post max load. I do not understand while I still get this message. I tried to upload the file and got error message which I presume means file is too large (exceeds 12 m).. Is there another change I should make to php file. Thanks

Popup Player window sizing issue - by: Brian Benedum
I have been using integrated JW Player 6 for my sermon videos. Since this is now depreciated, I downloaded the JW 7 player plugin and pointed Sermon Speaker to that plugin. The issue I ran into was that no matter how I set the video width and height, the bottom portion of my video was truncated. By looking at the code I could see that the window size was being set to the same size as the video dimensions. I believe that the window needs to be taller due to the title, so to fix this I overrode the popup.php file in the views\sermon\tmpl directory with the following code change:
window.resizeTo(<?php echo $player->popup . ', ' . ($player->popup + 150); ?>);
By adding 150 to the height I can now see all of the video in the window. If this was not the correct solution, please let me know, otherwise I hope this info. will help others with this problem.

I am in the process of moving our website to a new server, and I can no longer download sermon files on the new server. For some reason, the URL has changed. Sermons on the existing site can be found here:

Sermon order in accordian layout - by: The Journey
I set my site to display as accordian in the layout and have tried all setting to place the order and just can't figure out why it doesn't matter what order things are it seems to place the series in different orders no matter what the last series created is not at the top of the list, what am I missing or where is this controlled or do I have to write my own little code to make it happen. take a look, Relevant isd actually the last series and it's clear at the bottom and the rest really don't seem to be in order.

During test and modification of some helper files I recorgnized two errors in the code.
#1 (e.g. in /modules/mod_latestsermons/tmpl/horizontal.php)
should be
otherwise you won't find all the related sermons in lists or table (because the category causes some strange side effects). If you remove the "catid" everything will work well and the speaker's detail page will show all related sermons or series.
#2 (e.g. in /components/com_sermonspeaker/views/sermon/tmpl/content.php
will always print the tags even if they are empty. I encountered this effect, because I added a headline, that was printed all the time.
If you change the code to
everything works well.
In a couple of days our website will be online. I can send you a link and provide my new layouts, if you are interested.

Old site is on: Joomla 2.5.8
New site is on: Joomla 3.4.1
On the new site I upload Sermon Speaker version that was on the old site: com_sermonspeaker458
I go into the myPHPAdmin for the old site and locate all the files starting with #_sermon_
